A local gym is offering to help those members who no longer
have a place to work out following the closure of Gold's Gym in North Providence. Representatives from Synrgy Health and
Fitness stood outside the Smith
Street gym Friday afternoon to invite Gold's
members to their club.

Any member who shows a Gold's ID card can exercise at the Providence
Synrgy facility free of charge for the rest of the month.

“We're all in this together and when one club closes it
affects the community and I want to stand up and say come to our club and we
will take care of you,” said Bill Bento, Director of Enrollment for Synrgy.

Many gym members expressed that they did not want to make
the approximately 20 minute drive to the Gold's Warwick location.

The Providence
club says they just wanted to offer those members another option closer to
home.
