Cranston police shared this booking photo of Adam Corbin.

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A Providence man is accused of breaking into an ATM machine in Cranston earlier this week.

Adam Corbin, 35, has been charged with attempted larceny, malicious injury to property, reckless driving and eluding police.

On Wednesday, Cranston police responded just after 10 p.m. to calls of two suspects breaking into the ATM at the Citizens Bank on Atwood Avenue.

A bank security officer told police that a man was wearing a ski mask and driving a Dodge Caravan.

Officers spotted the suspects’ van fleeing the scene. The driver attempted to elude police and struck a police cruiser on Dyer Avenue.

The suspects abandoned the van, and later found that it was registered to Corbin. He turned himself into police the following day.

Police said Corbin has a lengthy arrest record in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Georgia.

He was arraigned and released on $1,000 personal recognizance.
