Providence Native and Top High School Recruit Kimani Lawrence Announces He’ll Play at Arizona State

IT WAS A BIG DAY FOR PROVIDENCE–NATIVE KIMANI LAWRENCE.

HE’S 54TH IN THE ESPN TOP ONE HUNDRED BASKETBALL PLAYERS…LAWRENCE IS OFFICIALLY HEADED TO ARIZONA STATE NEXT YEAR.

HE MADE THE ANNOUNCEMENT THIS AFTERNOON AT THE DAVEY LOPES REC CENTER IN PROVIDENCE WHERE HE FIRST STARTED PLAYING BASKETBALL.

THE 6–6 SMALL FORWARD HAS BEEN PLAYING AAU BASKETBALL WHILE GOING TO THE HAMPTON PREP SCHOOL IN NEW HAMPSHIRE.

LAWRENCE HAD SEVERAL OFFERS FROM BIG TIME PROGRAMS INCLUDING PC AND FLORIDA., BUT SAYS HE’S HAD DREAMS OF BECOMING A SUNDEVIL FOR A LONG TIME.
