A citywide parking ban will go into effect at 2:00 AM on Sunday and remain in effect until further notice, according to the Providence Mayors office. Residents with overnight parking passes will not be allowed to park on street during the duration of the ban. Those who do will be ticketed and towed away so that plows and emergency crews can get through.

Travelers are encouraged to use caution. DPW crews have prepared all equipment and personnel to respond to the weekend storm. Roads were pre-treated during the day Saturday.

The City’s snow hotline will open at 12 PM Sunday at 401-680-8080.
