Police arrest suspect accused of breaking into Providence home, suspect not connected to string of sexual assaults

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police arrested a man accused of breaking into a Pembroke Avenue home Thursday night.

Police said that Christopher James, 34, was arrested Friday afternoon.

James is not a suspect in three other incidents that happened in the same area earlier this week, according to Providence police.

Officials said that residents in that neighborhood should still remain cautious and call police to report any kind of incident.
