Suspect identified in Providence weekend murder

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – Providence released the identity of the suspect allegedly involved in the Sunday murder on Jewett street.
Police say Troy Ingram, 21, has been charged with the Jewett street murder.
Around 1:30 a.m on Sunday morning Police were called to 123 Jewett Street and found the body of a 41-year-old man believed to be from Pakistan who they say worked at a nearby convenience store.
The department says they believe the victim was killed by blunt force trauma and the scene was “gruesome.”
The relationship between Ingram and the victim is unknown at this time.
Police say this is the 8th murder of the year in Providence.
