PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police on Monday identified the Fall River man who was killed outside of a strip club over the weekend.

Police said 26-year old Stephon Calice was stabbed outside the Cadillac Lounge early Saturday morning.

Calice, police said, was a youth flag football coach and had a 4-year-old girl.

Maj. David Lapatin said a fight broke out between two groups outside the establishment. During that fight, the 26-year-old was confronted and stabbed.

The suspects were then seen on surveillance video fleeing the scene in two separate cars.

Calice was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he died.

Following the stabbing, Cadillac Lounge was ordered to shut down for 72 hours.

The Board of Licenses said a meeting is scheduled for Wednesday to discuss the incident.

Saturday’s fatal stabbing marks the seventh homicide in the capital city.

At this time, no arrests have been made.
