Providence Police investigate 6th homicide of the year

Police are treating Padilla’s death as a homicide.
“There certainly are circumstances where once the investigation played out, we determined that it wasn’t a homicide. But in this one, we are treating it as a homicide,” said Providence Police Chief Colonel Hugh Clements.
Officials aren’t releasing any details about how or why Padilla was killed.
Family and friends tell ABC6 that Padilla was a father.
