Providence Police investigating deadly motorcycle crash

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – Police are investigating a fatal crash that left one man dead on Friday.

Providence Police Commander Thomas Verdi said the 31-year-old motorcyclist struck a car near 550 Valley Street around 3 p.m. and was pronounced dead when crews arrived on the scene.

No one in the car was hurt, according to Verdi.

Verdi says Providence Police’s Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating.

Police are not releasing the man’s name at this time.
