Providence police looking for a suspect in connection with a robbery

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – Providence police detectives are asking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in connection with a robbery that occurred on Sunday, May 5th 2019. 

According to police, the robbery happened 6:54 pm at a CVS located on 799 Hope Street. 

The subject is being described as a white male in his 40s with tattoos on his hands, wearing a dark colored zip up hoodie, blue jeans, a camouflage baseball hat, reading glasses and a full beard. 

Police say the subject entered the store, approached the register and demanded a store employee open it. 

The employee complied and the subject took an unknown amount of money from the register. He then exited the store and fled on foot outbound on Hope Street.

Police want the public to note that the subject may have stolen a Braun cordless razor at the time of the robbery and may no longer have a beard.
