Providence police make 2 arrests amid investigation into Santander Bank heist

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police arrested two people as part of their investigation into a bank heist on Federal Hill at the end of June.

Police said Wednesday they took Tracey Delgado and Stanley Palmer into custody at the Hampton Inn on George Street in Pawtucket.

They are accused of playing a role in the $500,000 robbery at Santander Bank on June 29. Police said the bank was broken into and the vault was breached during a “sophisticated” and “planned” heist.

Last month, police found $24,000 at a storage facility on Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence.
