Providence police say farewell to loyal K-9 Kyra

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said they’re mourning the loss of one of their K-9s today.
The department shared on social media that K-9 Kyra passed away after five years of service.
She worked alongside Officer Lincoln Sisson and other departments both locally and nationally in narcotics operations.
“We are grateful for her service and commitment to the City of Providence,” the department wrote.
It is with great sadness to announce that K9 Kyra, who worked with Officer Lincoln Sisson from 2012-2017 as a loyal, hard-working partner, has passed away. We are grateful for her service and commitment to the City of Providence. May she rest in peace. pic.twitter.com/0NAMJd7Skb
