Providence police searching for man wanted for armed robbery and assault

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department is asking the public for help in the search for a man wanted for armed robbery and felony assault.

Shamar Leggette was accused of robbing and shooting a man on Atwells Avenue on Aug. 7 of this year.

Police added that Leggette also has an active arrest warrant for robbery out of New York City.
