Providence Police urge residents to report nonviolent crimes online

The Providence Safety Complex is closed to the public; services are available online

PROVIDENCE,R.I.- The Providence Police Department wants to remind residents that only violent crimes should be reported in-person at the city’s Safety Complex.

The complex is closed for in-person services such as requesting police and accident reports, VIN number checks, and reporting nonviolent crimes.

Nonviolent crimes can be reported, such as fraud, vandalism, and telephone harrassment, can be reported at:

The website offers further guidance on reporting accidents and nonviolent crimes.
