PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The United State’s Postal Service said Tuesday that a Providence post office is closed after Monday’s storm.

The Elmwood post office flooded during the storms, causing the temporary closure.

“Cleanup of the Elmwood facility is already underway and the Postal Service hopes to reopen this location for full service as quickly as feasible,” the postal service wrote in a statement.

Customers effected by the closure will be able to got to the Washington Park Post Office on Broad Street for PO Box and retail service.
