Providence schools launches reopening website for coming school year

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) –  The Providence School district announced the launch of a new website to provide families and students with important information about the coming school year.

ReopenPVDSchools.org, will include summaries of key plan elements including health and safety, academics, and transportation. 

The website will provide available content in English and Spanish.

“Our Providence Schools Reopening Strong plan is a comprehensive document with a great deal of information,” said Harrison Peters, Superintendent of Providence Schools.

“We have launched ReopenPVDSchools.org to convey the plan’s key points in straightforward language, so the community can navigate the information with ease”, he continued.

The new website also lists four possible reopening scenarios for the school year, slated to begin on September 14.

Based on each of the community’s data, the state is anticipated to announce the particular scenario for each district the week of August 31st.
