Providence students raise money to help repair Rhode Island Nine Memorial
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Students in Providence recently raised several hundred dollars to help repair the Rhode Island Nine Memorial that was vandalized last month.
Those A-Venture Academy students donated the money to the curator of the memorial.
Two of the nine glass monuments for the Marines who died in the barrack bombing in Beirut, Lebanon, were shattered on May 16.
So far, a woman was questioned in connection to the incident, but it’s unclear if any arrests were made.
