Providence teacher provides Earth Day lesson for students on Zoom

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)– A Providence school teacher gave her students a special remote lesson to commemorate the 5oth anniversary of Earth Day Wednesday.

Rachel Denofio, a teacher at Asa Messer Elementary school, mailed her students packets containing grass seeds earlier in the week.

On Wednesday, she connected with the class on the teleconferencing website Zoom to walk them through the steps for planting the seeds.

The students will now draw and record the growth process of the grass over the next few weeks.
