Providence teen shot in Pawtucket was targeted, police say

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Police said Tuesday that a Providence teenager who was shot in Pawtucket was targeted.

The shooting happened just before 5 p.m. Monday on Mineral Spring Avenue.

Police said they found the 18-year-old on the steps of a home, suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his shoulder.

The man was sent to Rhode Island, where he’s stable.

Police said that they interviewed witnesses and the victim, adding that the shooting appeared to have been targeted.
