Providence tops ‘Travel + Leisure’ ranking for overall favorite city

Travel + Leisure has named Providence the top city overall in its most recent survey.
The travel brand’s ‘America’s Favorite Places Survey’ asked people to rank cities nationwide based on a variety of factors like food, culture, and people.
Providence ranked #1 overall, and made the top 5 in several specific categories, including theater, architecture/cool buildings, bakeries, diners, bars, brunch, and coffee.
After Providence, the cities of Houston, Kansas City, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Los Angeles rounded out the top 5 ‘overall’ list.
