Providence Water: No Water Shutoffs during Coronavirus Emergency

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – During the state of emergency brought on by COVID-19, Providence Water decided to temporarily suspend shut-offs due to non-payment.

According to Providence Water, the company understands may experience financial challenges related to the outbreak, and the decision was made to lessen any additional hardship.

Regular billing will continue for all customers and Providence Water is working with their regulator on a process to ensure there will be no penalties for late payment during the emergency period.
