Puppy found abandoned in Barrington park

Police are investigating a puppy found abandoned in Haines Park
in Barrington Sunday
evening.

The pit bull puppy was tied to a tree in the park near the local
dog park. Passerby's noticed the dog and after she was unclaimed for an
hour they alerted police.

The 10-month-old puppy is healthy and is currently at the East Providence animal
shelter.

Investigators continue to look for its owner.
