PVDonuts aims to open new shop in July

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A popular specialty donut shop in Providence has a new home.

PVDonuts announced on social media that it will be moving to 158 Wickenden Street this summer.

The new spot will be surrounded by other businesses and restaurants.

“Work has already begun, and we are prioritizing the completion of our kitchen above all else to avoid interruption to prior commitments,” the post read.

Last week, the shop announced it was leaving its Ives Street location after seven years due to a lease renewal issue.

PVDonuts is offering a special menu of popular favorites until the shop is set to close on June 25.

Staff hopes to open the new location in early July.
