Quiet again today, rain this weekend

Tracking an end to the quiet stretch

The quiet weather pattern continues today with temperatures this morning a few degrees warmer than the last few thanks to some clouds overnight. Much of the day looks mainly sunny with highs in the low 40s, a few degrees above the average high of 37° for mid-January. Tonight stays partly cloudy with lows in the mid 20s.

Expect more clouds around for Thursday with an isolated sprinkle possible, although much of the day is dry. It will be even a few degrees warmer with highs in the mid 40s. Overnight stays partly cloudy with lows in the upper 20s and Friday looks dry with a mix of sun and clouds, highs in the mid 40s.

Friday night we’ll be tracking a low system moving into the area. Our quiet stretch of weather will end, but because temperatures will be quite mild, we have rain, not snow, in the forecast. Steady rain through Saturday with the breeze picking up. Highs will be close to 50°. We gradually clear out into Sunday but it stays a bit breezy with highs down into the low 40s.

Starting the new week on MLK Day, expect a mix of sun and clouds with highs around 40°. Partly sunny into the middle of next week with highs more seasonable, expect mid to upper 30s.
