Quiet weather as we approach MDW
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend, outside of that Saturday soaker!
But hey, we needed it – conditions have been very dry in May, and the quiet weather looks to continue for the near future.
Today is gorgeous with full sunshine, comfortable temperatures, low humidity and light winds.
The sky is a little bit hazy as there is some very thin smoke particulate from the Canadian wildfires once again, but it is not as thick as it has been on some days recently.
Outside of a weak cold front that could bring a brief passing shower on Wednesday night, the work week looks dry from start to finish.
Right now, Memorial Day weekend looks to remain that way – perhaps with a bit more cloud cover, but also slightly warmer as well.
Some of our computer models have been hinting at some tropical development off of the Carolina coast late in the week, and regardless of named status, any moisture there would have a propensity to move up the coast and into the Northeast – but we will also have strong high pressure in place that builds in behind that Wednesday night cold front, which could keep anything away.
Have a great rest of your Monday!
