R.I Department of Health announces two COVID-19 related deaths in the state

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health announced the state’s first two COVID-19 related deaths.

According to RIDOH, both individuals had underlying medical conditions.

One individual was in their 80s and died on Friday night and the individual in their 70s died on Saturday.

Governor Raimondo and Health Director Nicole Alexander-Scott, MD, MPH are scheduled to comment on the recent deaths at today’s media briefing.
