R.I. Lt. Gov. Sabina Matos tests positive for COVID-19

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Rhode Island Lt. Gov. Sabina Matos announced on Tuesday that she tested positive for COVID-19.

Matos said in a tweet that was experiencing “very few symptoms,” noting that she believes it’s because she’s fully vaccinated and boosted.

“I encourage all Rhode Islanders to get their booster shot,” said Matos.

Gov. Dan McKee will not have to quarantine, according to the governor’s office.
