R.I. State Police Task Force makes 3 arrests for narcotics and weapons charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island State Police have announced three arrests made on December 22 through their High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force.

The investigation was targeting those believed to be running a drug trafficking ring through the Providence area.

Through a court authorized search warrant, the task force was about to discover the following items

  • 41 kilograms of fentanyl
  • 67.7 grams of cocaine
  • $ 20,545.00
  • Two Ghost Guns
  • Five vehicles
  • Scales and packaging material used in the distribution of illegal narcotics.

The following individuals were arrested as a result of the search.

Angel Camilo, 21, of  Cranston faces the following charges:

  1. Possession With the Intent to Deliver in Excess of 1 Kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
  2. Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
  3. Possession with the Intent to Deliver 1 oz- 1 kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Cocaine
  4. Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Cocaine
  5. Controlled Substance Conspiracy
  6. Possession of a Ghost Gun
Miguel Jimenez Cruz, 26, of Cranston faces the following charges:
  1. Possession With the Intent to Deliver in Excess of 1 Kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
  2. Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
  3. Possession with the Intent to Deliver 1 oz- 1 kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Cocaine
  4. Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Cocaine
  5. Controlled Substance Conspiracy
  6. Possession of a Ghost Gun.
Luz Jimenez Regalado, 24, of Providence faces the following charges:
  1. Possession with the Intent to Deliver in Excess of 1 Kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
  2. Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
  3. Possession with the Intent to Deliver 1 oz- 1 kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Cocaine
  4. Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Cocaine
  5. Controlled Substance Conspiracy.

All three individuals were arraigned in 6th District Court and held without bail.
