PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ Democrat Gina Raimondo has spent more than $5 million in her governor’s bid, and campaign finance reports show she has $360,000 cash on hand a week before the primary.
Her rival, Providence Mayor Angel Taveras, has just $87,000 in his campaign account ahead of Tuesday’s primary after spending around $300,000 per week in the past few weeks.         Fellow Democrat Clay Pell, grandson of the late Sen. Claiborne Pell and husband of Olympic figure skater Michelle Kwan, has been spending more than $325,000 per week and has now loaned himself $3.4 million.
Raimondo’s spending exceeds half a million dollars per week.
All the candidates have been pouring money into TV ads.
On the Republican side, Ken Block had a little more than $250,000 cash on hand, while Allan Fung had $129,000.
