Rain and Fog Start off Thursday
We have a couple of fronts coming through Southern New England. The first will be tonight with a slight chance of showers through 8pm. We could see a mix of rain and snow and no accumulation is expected. The next comes through for the early commute. We will have patchy fog in place and the rain will be steady and locally heavy at times. Roads will be wet and visibility will be lowered in the fog. Thursday afternoon will be mainly cloudy and temperatures will top out near 50. Friday morning will be mainly cloudy with a chance of rain showers starting in the afternoon. After the late commute, we will see sleet and snow mix in with the rain and minor snow/ sleet accumulations are possible. This mix goes overnight into early Saturday. Rain and snow showers are possible through the day Saturday with no additional accumulations. Keep in mind, this scenario has many factors and we still don’t know the exact timing and track. The Friday forecast could be adjusted with subsequent model runs, so stay tuned!
