Rain and Wind to Start Friday
Thursday easily took down the long-standing record high temperature of 60 degrees from 1910. We topped out at 71 early Thursday afternoon. Clouds are already in place and now we’re waiting on the rain. Showers are in your forecast for early tonight as the first of 2 areas of low pressure scoot on through Southern New England. Clouds and patchy fog will be in the mix too overnight. The second area of unsettled weather comes Friday morning as a cold front comes through with rain and wind for the first half of the day. Temperatures will still be warm as the cold air behind the front lags until Friday night. Friday night temperatures plummet into the lower-20s as skies clear. Even with a day full of sunshine, high temperatures will struggle to reach 40. Sunday sees more clouds and milder temperatures closer to 50.
