Rain & flood threat end tonight, followed by a stretch of gorgeous weather
Heavy rain could return to the area over the weekend
After a gorgeous Sunday, today has been a bout as dreary a Monday as they come.
A *FLOOD WATCH* is in effect for the entire viewing area sans the Cape and Islands until 2am, as some embedded downpours could lead to local flooding in poor drainage areas.
After today, get set for a fantastic middle and end of the work week. Lots of sunshine and temperatures in the low to mid 70s are expected through Friday.
We have a lot of uncertainty this weekend as a rain storm will try to develop off the Carolina Coast Thursday into Friday and then head north.
As of now, Saturday is the best bet to remain dry, but with increased cloud cover.
