Rainy Monday on the Way

Heading into the start of the workweek, we are bringing in the rain. Starting before dawn, rain will develop as a slow-moving front moves into Southern New England. We have the potential of seeing rainfall rates of an inch an hour and totals of 1-2 inches are generally expected. Higher amounts in thunderstorms are possible. The peak of the rain is the late commute. Expect lower visibilities and ponding on the roads leading to a slow evening ride. Localized street and small stream flooding is possible. Rain continues into Monday night before ending overnight. Tuesday will be a day of slow clearing of the clouds and highs near 73. Sunshine abounds Wednesday through Friday with seasonable temperatures in the lower-70s.
