Rams Second Half Comeback Fall Short in Pink Out at the Ryan Center

Jones leads Saint Joseph's past Rhode Island 80-69

      KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) – Carl Jones scored 28 points and Saint
Joseph's shot 60.9 percent in the second half to rally for an 80-69
victory over Rhode Island in an Atlantic 10 Conference game on
Wednesday night.

      After trailing 38-36 at halftime, the Hawks (17-10, 7-5) made 14
of 23 shots in the second half, which they began with a 21-5 run.
Jones scored nine points during the run, which put Saint Joseph's
ahead 57-43 with 11:59 remaining.

      The Rams (5-22, 2-10) shot just 34.3 percent (12 of 35) in the
second half as they lost their fourth consecutive game.

      C.J. Aiken finished with 18 points and Langston Galloway 16 for
Saint Joseph's. Galloway, who ranked 10th in the nation in 3-point
percentage at 45.2 percent, made 4 of 7 behind the arc.

      Orion Outerbridge scored 19 points for Rhode Island, and
Jonathan Holton had 11 points and nine rebounds.
