Raynham Police seek stabbing suspect
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Raynham Police Department are seeking a suspect who allegedly stabbed a woman six times with a pair of scissors before fleeing her home to a wooded area.
Police identified the suspect as 24-year-old Jacob Szalno, who is believed to have last stayed in a Brockton homeless shelter.
Raynham police responded to the victim’s home Wednesday afternoon. The 33-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with injuries considered serious but not life-threatening.
A search for Szalno, utilizing a K9 officer and air support from the Massachusetts State Police, turned up the scissors police believe were used in the attack, but the suspect eluded capture.
Police stated that Szalno and the victim were friends.
The suspect should not be approached, as police consider him to be dangerous.
Anyone who believes they have spotted Szalno should call 911, police said.
