Raynham woman killed in fiery hit-and-run crash in West Bridgewater

WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police said Tuesday that a Raynham woman was killed in a fiery hit-and-run crash in West Bridgewater.

The crash happened at about 10:30 p.m. Monday on Route 24 north.

Police said a 2008 Toyota Scion TC was changing lanes, when it hit a 2015 Honda Accord. The Honda then crashed into a concrete barrier.

The driver of the Toyota fled the scene, said police.

Police said while the Honda was stopped in the left travel lane, a 2022 Ford Maverick pickup truck hit the back of the car, causing it to catch on fire.

The driver of the Honda, later identified as 46-year-old Erpharo Gilbert, died at the scene.

The driver of the Ford, only identified as a 23-year-old Brockton man, was not injured.

Police said they’re looking to identify the driver of the Toyota.
