Ready the rain gear

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) — It’s a damp weekend with an ocean wind flow.

High pressure releases its grip on New England by tomorrow. This will allow for clouds to thicken and some raindrops to fall. A large storm stacked up at all levels of the atmosphere sits over the Mid-West. This will slowly push eastward over New England by Monday and lift northward into the Quebec province.  Showers will be light and scattered for the first half of the weekend, but as milder air pushes in on Sunday, we may see a late day or evening thunderstorm. Expect heavier rain to end the weekend. We’ll dry out a bit on Monday and Tuesday before more scattered showers visit us each afternoon Wednesday through Friday.
