RECALL ALERT: Gerber baby food could be spoiled

Stop and Shop is pulling some baby foods from store shelves because they could be spoiled.

The recall involves two products, GERBER Organic 2ND FOOD pouches with pears, carrots and peas, as well as GERBER Organic 2ND FOOD pouches with carrots, apples and mangos.

Gerber says a packaging defect could cause the food to spoil.

The following products are the only ones affected:

In some cases, the pouches may be bloated and the product might have an off taste or smell.

Three consumers have reported temporary gastrointestinal symptoms but it’s not confirmed that those are related to the product.
