Red Cross assisting displaced family of 5 after Coventry house fire

COVENTRY, R.I (WLNE) – One family, including four adults and one child were displaced after a house fire on Capwell Avenue in Coventry.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family to help with their immediate needs.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits to the family which includes items such as deodorant, toothbrushes, shaving supplies, and other essentials.

In addition, The Red Cross is giving the family a recovery envelope, which contains helpful information for families recently displaced by a fire.

These tips include clean up, dealing with damaged items, and notification information of important contacts.

The Red Cross is working to provide a longer-term recovery plan for the family.
