Red Cross helps 7 after house fire in Providence

PROVIDENCE R.I. (WLNE) — The American Red Cross said they’re helping seven people after a fire broke out in a Providence home.

Officials said the fire happened Sunday morning on Silver Spring Street and left five adults and three children displaced.

The Red Cross said their responders provided the displaced with information for cleanup, important contacts as well as comfort kits including personal care items.

Information regarding the cause of the fire and injuries from the incident were not immediately available.
