Red Hot PawSox Win At Rochester

Suddenly Hot PawSox Dump Red Wings, 3-1

The PawSox have been one of the worst road teams in the International League in 2010. All of a sudden, they're red hot. On Thursday night the PawSox beat Rochester 3-1, for their 5th road win in their last 6 games away from McCoy. At one stretch of the game, Castro and Robert Coello combined to retire 15 straight Rochester batters. Coello fanned 2 in an inning and a third. Dustin Richardson pitched a scoreless ninth for Pawtucket to pick up his second save. Richardson had 2 strikeouts. The trio amassed 12 strikeouts, tying a season high for Pawtucket. The PawSox are currently 5-2 on their ten game road trip.

The Sox scored in the third after Lars Anderson tripled and came around on a grounder by Jorge Jimenez. In the third, Gil Velazquez (3-4) doubled and scored on a single by Jeremy Hermida. Velazquez scored another run in the fifth.
