Redistricting Commission meets Wednesday at State House

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Special Commission on Reapportionment will meet next Wednesday, January 5 at The State House to discuss prisoner apportionment and how that pertains to the House and Senate districts.

The meeting is scheduled at 5:00 p.m. in room 35 in the basement of The State House. The agenda includes a discussion on the impact of prisoner apportionment on the House and Senate districts, and if there is an option for reallocation. The inclusion of ACI data, and future plans will also be discussed. The Commission is co-chaired by Senator Stephen R. Archambault and Representative Robert D. Phillips.

Masks are required at the meeting, but it will also be on Capitol Television, on Cox channels 15 and 61, Channel 15 on Full Channel, and Channel 34 on Verizon. The meeting will also be livestreamed here.
