Reed headed to Europe to meet with NATO leaders
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island Sen. Jack Reed will be headed to Europe later this week to meet with leaders from other NATO countries.
“America is strengthened by our alliances. This trip is an opportunity to demonstrate our strong support for the people of Ukraine and further bolster NATO’s coordinated, transatlantic commitment to deterrence and defense of democracy,” said Reed.
The meetings will focus on the security and humanitarian situation going on in Ukraine and its impact on America’s national security.
Reed is the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
