NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE)- Registration for Save The Bay’s cross-bay swim opened on Wednesday morning.

Any person interested in registering for the 46th annual swim can do so here.

The swim will take place on Saturday, August 6.

Swimmers will race two miles, starting at the Naval War College in Newport to Potters Cove in Jamestown.

Qualifying swimmers have to pay a $50 entry and raise a minimum of $400.

Those who prefer not to swim can participate in the open challenge

“Participants can choose from challenges in kayaking, biking, running, and more, complete their challenges where they’d like, submit their times, and contribute to the effort,” said Leanne Danielsen, Save The Bay’s event manager.

The entry fee for the open challenge is $25 and the fundraising minimum is $200.

All proceeds will go towards providing critical support to the organization’s mission to protect and improve Narragansett Bay and its watershed.
