Rep. Cicilline, Rep. Trahan call on Senate to act as country passes 200,000 COVID-19 deaths

WASHINGTON (WLNE) – Representative Cicilline (RI), and Representative Lori Trahan (MA) will host a video call urging Senate to take action against COVID-19 on Thursday.

This call comes after the country passed 200,000 deaths and infected almost 7 million people.

Cicilline’s office says that the Senate has refused to act, even though the house passed the Heroes Act Legislation over 4 months ago, in an attempt to combat the virus.

This is a developing story. More details will be added after the video call has concluded.
