FOXBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — The Patriots have signed free-agent wide receiver Ju Ju Smith Schuster to a three-year deal Wednesday, according to reports.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the signing, adding the deal is worth $33 million over the three years.

“Excited for my next chapter in New England, I will give this organization everything I have, thank you for believing in me,” tweeted Smith-Schuster.

One of New England’s top needs heading to the off-season was to land a wide receiver for quarterback Mac Jones who saw his number dip in his second season.

Smith-Schuster spent the first five years of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he was a top target for Ben Roethlisberger.

The veteran wide out spent last season with the Super Bowl champion Chiefs where he grabbed 78 catches for 933 yards and found the end zone three times.

The signing of Smith-Schuster comes a day after Jakobi Meyers signed with the Raiders.
