Reports: Providence College progressing toward Kim English as next coach

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — According to multiple reports Tuesday night, Providence College is zeroing in on Kim English as its next men’s basketball coach.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports was the first to report the Friars targeting the George Mason head coach as the next leader in Friartown.

English is 34 years old and a former player in the NBA.

Before his two seasons coaching the Patriots, English served as an assistant coach at Tennessee under former Friars coach Rick Barnes.
