Residents displaced after house fire in Providence
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE): Four families have been displaced following a house fire in Providence, according to Deputy Chief Stephen Houle.
Crews responded to the home on Goddard Street around 5 p.m. on Sunday evening.
Everyone got out safely and there were no injuries, according to Houle.
The flames caused moderate to extensive damage.
The Red Cross is assisting all families- six adults and four children.
Police had to direct traffic away from Douglas Avenue for a brief period of time. The surrounding streets are now open.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
