Results for Woonsocket primary election

Ballots have been counted and results are in for the Woonsocket primary election.

A total of 4,161 ballots were cast. Representative Lisa Baldelli-Hunt received a told of 2,746 votes taking first place, coming in second was Mayor Leo Fontaine with 881 votes.

Leaving David Fischer with 466 votes and Michael Moniz in last place with 34 votes.

Both Baldelli-Hunt and Fontaine will face off on November 5th for general election.

The next mayor of Woonsocket will serve a three years in term instead of two, so the city can sync it's elections to the state cycle.
