FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) – A $2,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can provide information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person wanted for shooting and killing “Wolf” the cat with a BB gun

The reward is being offered by “A Friend of the Rhode Island SPCA” who felt compelled to help out after hearing Wolf’s tragic story.

ABC6 first brought you the story of Wolf the cat last week. His owner said Wolf was shot with a BB while sitting by the pool in the backyard.

“I went to the vet and when she did x-rays she saw the cat had a BB lodged in its spine,” said owner Shelly Borges.

Wolf was paralyzed by the BB and could no longer go to the bathroom, resulting in a urinary tract obstruction.

“He had to be put down. He was suffering,” said Borges.

Fall River Police hope the reward will encourages those with information to come forward, providing a swift resolution to the case, closure for the family, and justice for Wolf.
